The O.C.: The Cohens House Goes Up for Sale

Anybody who has watched more than one episode of “The O.C.” has dreamed of living in the mansion the Cohens called home. Well, you could make that dream a reality for a breezy $6.25 million. “Welcome to the O.C., b—h.”

The real estate website Trulia has listed the mansion for sale, meaning the house wasn’t destroyed in an earthquake like it was on the series, which ran on Fox from 2003-2007.

It turns out the mansion — which saw Seth Cohen (Adam Brody) evolve from neurotic, shy guy pining for the girl to neurotic comic book artist who gets the girl, and Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie) change from a Chino outcast to a full-fledged Cohen family member — is located in a gated Malibu community and not in “Newpsie”-filled Newport Beach.

It’s worth mentioning that the Cohen Manor, complete with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and four acres of space, was used primarily for exterior shots and the inside won’t look exactly as it did in the show. So don’t expect to gather around the fireplace that warmed so many Chrismukkah celebrators.

There’s also no mention of the famed pool house, which was a favorite location for many of Seth and Ryan’s broodiest, angsty conversations. But if a diehard “O.C.” fan can shell out more than $6 million for the house, he or she can probably afford to build a replica Atwood pool house out back.
